Victoria

Owner and visionary of the The Tannery Barn, Victoria is a seasoned event and floral designer with over 20 years of experience. Today, Victoria Clausen Floral Events is a luxury, award-winning event and floral design company. Opening the Tannery Barn was a natural progression from this, when Victoria saw an opportunity to create truly curated experiences for couples after absorbing the elements that make an event stand above. Her passion lies in creating memorable moments which shine through each and every detail in the Tannery Barn.

Victoria’s favorite form of spontaneity is booking a plane ticket abroad, and she has no qualms turning down a piece of chocolate if it’s not “good” chocolate (Hershey’s doesn’t cut it). She always has a spare moment to gush over her Bernedoodle, Bella!

 

Colleen

Colleen has over a decade of experience in catering in the wedding industry. This is what drew her to The Tannery— creating magical experiences that hold a lifetime of memories. From talking with clients, to showing them around our space and sharing its hidden gems, to helping out with the social media side, to executing events — she loves taking couples from their first “hello” at the Tannery to their “I do!”

Colleen is also in the midst of wedding planning herself with her fiancé James! Needless to say, she can relate to you! When she’s not keeping the timeline of a wedding day running like clockwork, you can find her in the gym, cuddling up with a book or binging some classic comfort shows!

David

Not unfamiliar to the world of events, David has been exploring different facets of the industry for 5 years. He landed here after 13 years in guest relations at a resort, where he found his niche. David’s favorite part about working in weddings is building relationships with the people involved: from the couples, to the vendors to the guests. “Everyone has their own unique, intricate, complex, and wonderful story that comes together masterfully to celebrate a new union. And that is beautiful to me,” (we thought he said it best).

Outside of orchestrating logistics for a big day, he enjoys volunteering and organizing church and community programs and events. And when he does find some openings in his schedule? They’re often filled with good reads and good friends.

KATHY

Kathy has been an integral part of The Tannery Barn team since its inception. As our Facilities Manager, she oversees all aspects of maintenance and facility management, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. On event days, Kathy is always ready to lend a hand, supporting our team and helping to create memorable experiences for our guests.

In addition to her facilities role, Kathy operates our venue shuttle, providing convenient transportation for guests to and from the parking lot. A true Taneytown native, Kathy is always eager to share her extensive knowledge about the town with our visitors.
